Social Icing Internship Program

I created this internship with students at the forefront with enough flexibility to accommodate busy school schedules while providing valuable experience and learning opportunities. As an intern, you will be given a 3 to 6 month internship during the height of wedding season

You will be assisting in organizing and planning weddings. This can include anything from attending meetings with clients, touring venues, preparing reports and budgets, vendor outreach, drafting letters and emails, designing table plans and other printed materials, telephone inquiries and general office work.

At the end of your Internship I will provide you with a reference and will help with your resume; which will help you get a head start in finding a full time job in event planning!

I want this to be more than an internship, I want you to gain life-long knowledge, hands-on experience and a mentor you can rely on.

Who you are

•MUST live in the Northwest Arkansas area

•Current standing as a Sophomore or Senior enrolled in an accredited 4-year institution. You can be a Hospitality major or minor.

•Proficient computer skills, including Google Workspace. Familiarity with Allseated, Canva, and Wix

•Familiarity with social networking sites and marketing is a must. Such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest

•Must be at least 18 years of age

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•Self-directed and able to work without supervision

•Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas

•Extremely detail-oriented and committed

•MUST have reliable transportation

•Desire to be a part of the wedding industry

What to expect

•Bi-weekly 1:1 check-ins and mentoring sessions

•Hands on experience and training in the wedding industry

•Attend client and vendor meetings

•Shadowing on wedding walkthroughs and rehearsals

•Create timeline drafts

•Create blog content

•Day-to-day social media upkeep, scheduling posts following brand voice, tagging vendors, interacting with followers. Develop Reels and Tiktok initiatives

•Work remotely from your dorm, favorite coffee shop, anywhere!

•Assist on wedding days. Experience a wedding day from start to finish. You will get to help coordinate vendors, work set-up and break-down, and be involved in every aspect of the wedding day

•Plan and execute your own styled shoot with planner support

•Flexible schedule. Office hours are 9:00a to 6:00p, you will work 15 - 20 hours a week. We can set your work hours to accommodate your schedule. Additional accommodations can be made for large school projects and tests.

Internship is unpaid but wedding days are paid at $12/hr.
